NAME NOT IN THE POLL BOOK? ASK A POLL WORKER TO:
- Ask Voter Services about your registration
- Direct you to the correct polling location
- Give you a provisional ballot you can track
- You should also follow up afterwards (see below)
VOTING MACHINE NOT WORKING?
Double-check that the voting machine registers your vote properly. If you notice any problems:
- DO NOT press the “cast vote” button and DO NOT leave the booth.
- Stay in the booth and ask for a poll worker to examine the problem
- Insist that you be allowed to vote on a different machine
- Request the Judge of Elections to take the broken machine out of service
- Write down the ID # of the machine
- If none of the machines are working, you have the right to vote on an emergency paper ballot (see below)
- Follow up Afterwards (see below)
